Designer Haleh Nematzadeh’s edgy women’s ready-to-wear namesake
collection is a testament to the dynamic interchange
between high fashion, street culture, and rock-and-roll.
With a personal magnetism to the high drama of fashion
and its coexistence with music, Haleh’s free-spirited down-
town chic evokes an electric, bold, sexy and mysterious spirit.
Born in Tehran, Iran and raised in New York with a traditional Persian
upbringing,
Nematzadeh had an innate love for fashion while
remaining conservative. This dichotomy became the foundation
of the
Haleh persona and drove her desire to express herself
through her clothing as well as to reflect cultural and musical
movements through fashion.
Haleh has been getting incredible attention for her trademark
style, challenging what is considered day or evening, pushing
boundaries by using unconventional fabric choices, bold
silhouettes and detailing for a look that is a contrasts rocker-chic
and handcrafted couture. Her work has appeared in numerous
publications including Vogue Italy, Elle, Paper, Nylon and the cover
of WWD. She has been worn by celebrities such as Amber Rose, Kelly
Osborne, Kelis, Gwen Stefani and Keri Hilson.
Unapologetically modern, Nematzadeh’s mission is “to inspire people to fearlessly play dress up, which wakes them up to an authentic side of themselves”. Haleh currently resides on The Bowery in New York City where she is continually inspired.
